Victory Brewing Co. Creates Special Tribute Beer to Temple
An icon of craft beers in Southeastern PA, Victory Brewing Co. has been and continues to be a popular place to try some of the best beers in Chester County and beyond. Started in 1996 by longtime friends Ron Barchet and Bill Covaleski, Victory Brewing Co. has a taproom in the OG Downingtown location (a place very close to me), as well as Kennett Square and Parkesburg. Recently, Victory Brewing released a special tribute beer, called Cherry and White, to honor Temple University.
As if creating a special beer for Temple University wasn’t cool enough, Victory collaborated with senior students of Temple’s Art School, the Tyler School of Art and Architecture, to create a perfect label for the beer. The artwork done by the students are phenomenal and capture the spirit and essence of Temple in a unique way.
On Saturday’s Homecoming game against Memphis, Victory Brewing visited the Temple Tailgate Village to not only show support for the Owls, but also give students, parents, and alumni the chance to try the special beer! The beer is currently only available on draft and in limited qualities, according to co-founder Bill Covaleski. When asked on instagram if the beer was only available on draft, he replied, “yes, a small batch fledgling owl that needs the love of an audience to put eternal lift under its wings.” Surely the Temple community will give the Cherry and White Ale the love it needs to soar!
