Temple University Student Scores Golden Ticket on ‘American Idol’

Sadie Gustafson (who goes by Sadie Leigh), a Fort Washington resident and Temple University student, auditioned for the fourth season of ‘American Idol’ and ultimately scored herself a ticket to Hollywood.
The 20 year old is a singer/songwriter, who has been singing with her father since she was a kid. He accompanied her at her audition.
The Montgomery County native is one of three singing sisters and recently wrote a song called “La La La,” which she wrote in a music room at Temple. The song is about moving to Hollywood to pursue her music dreams.
One piece of advice that she is taking into Hollywood Week with her that judge Katy Perry gave is ‘to be more fiery and confident.’
Hopefully, Sadie follows in the other PA suburb residents, Louis Knight and Catie Turner, and makes it far in the competition. We are rooting for our hometown girl!
Good luck to Sadie and all of the contestants. ‘American Idol’ airs Sundays at 8/7c.
