Temple University Squirrel Goes Viral
Temple University’s campus is known for a lot of things: the rich food and restaurant environment, the iconic Bell Tower, beautiful Beury Beach, and the many squirrel friends that room around campus. If you are a student or faculty at Temple, you know, seen, and most likely experienced the family of squirrels, whether its on your way to class or sitting on a bench outside. These squirrels are a key part of what brings the Temple community together and what makes the campus uniquely memorable. The squirrels even have their own Instagram hashtag!
Recently, a picture of a squirrel eating a taquito posted on the official Temple University Twitter page got a lot of attention.
The picture shows a rather chubby squirrel munching on a taquito atop a tree on Temple’s campus with the caption “Other schools may have squirrels, but only at Temple will you see one bring an entire taquito up a tree. #HotSquirrelSummer”
Below Temple even shared a tweet from earlier in the year of two squirrels sharing a taquito together, with the caption “They have been known to share.”
The tweet got over 1,000 likes and 250+ retweets, making the Temple community proud of their squirrel friends on campus.
