Temple Class of 2020 Gets Special Messages from Celebrities
Due to the coronavirus, college graduations and commencements across the country have been either cancelled or postponed. This unusual and unprecedented adjustment to college graduation ceremonies is disappointing to the class of 2020, who have worked so hard to the very end to reach this important milestone in their lives. Despite the unfortunate lack of a formal commencement ceremony, colleges and universities have been doing the best to make their graduation ceremonies special and memorable. Temple University wanted to honor their students by getting some special messages from notable celebrities like Tina Fey as well as famous alumni like Tamron Hall and John Oates!
The Temple University Class of 2020 is special. In its entirety, the class includes 11 sets of twins, comes from 108 countries, has eight graduates with “owl” in their name, and is the largest graduating class in Temple history. To honor the memorable class, Temple got all kinds of special messages!
Tiny Fey encouraged the graduates that the world needs them now more than ever, no matter what their major or concentration is!
Temple Alum Tamron Hall connected with the students heart to heart and highlighted their strength as part of the “Temple Tuff” community.
ESPN Sports Center Anchor and Temple Alum Kevin Negandhi talked about his struggles finding a job after graduating college, and gave the graduates an encouraging message to enjoy the journey to success.
Music Icon of the Popular Duo Hall & Oates, John Oates reflected on his own experience at Temple while giving students a message of perseverance.
