It’s no shock or surprise that Philly fans love their sports, whether it be baseball, hockey, basketball or our beloved football. Philly fans are known for a lot of things, most notably their fierce passion and loyalty for their sports. One Eagles fan went viral recently with a tattoo of the Phillie Phanatic on his belly, with his belly button as the loveable mascot’s nose!
You Could say Rob Dunphy loves the city of Philadelphia. On his belly, he pays homage to the city and its notable landmarks like the Philadelphia skyline, the Liberty Bell, the symbol for I-95, an eagle, and of course, the Phillie Phanatic. Dunphy was originally seen at the Eagles vs. Packers game this past Sunday on the 26th, and has since become a viral internet phenomenon.
He recently met up with the star of his tattoo, the Phanatic, at the Phillies game on September 29th. The two can be seen having a great time and doing the iconic Phanatic belly roll dance together!
Dunphy even made an appearance on Fox29’s Good Day Philadelphia on the 30th where host Mike Jerrick attempted to do a body shot out of his belly button. Watch at your own risk!
Since going viral, the tattoo artist responsible for the wonderful homage to the Phanantic has decided to use this recent attention for a good cause. Mike Nemo who worked on Dunphy’s tattoos, is offering to finish tattoos for free if he can raise $10,000 for childhood cancer. What started off as something funny ended as a reason to do something great for others, which is what makes Philly so awesome.
