Temple University has been in the news recently, whether it’s been for their work in the medical field or their football program making strides this season. It’s hard to have a negative opinion about the school that is immensely prideful and does so much to represent Philly in a way that is positive and unforgettable.
The Temple University Diamond Band brought some Philly pride to New York City on October 20th, as they were guest performers on the Tonight Show with Jimmy Fallon. The band played alongside Young Thug for a stellar live performance of his song “Hot”.
Energetic, lively, and proud, the Diamond Band showed Jimmy Fallon and The Tonight Show and viewers across the county what being apart of the Temple community was all about. Temple’s Diamond Band is known for some amazing performances, from Panic at the Disco, to Imagine Dragons, to Twenty One Pilots- the musicians pour out their heart and soul in each song and it genuinely shows.
Hopefully this will not be the last time the Diamond Band is given the opportunity to play on such a huge platform and given the response from both the Temple community and the general audience of the show, I don’t see it being the case.
