Queer Eye Season 5, Set in Philly, Coming Next Month
The Netflix show “Queer Eye”, a reboot of the show “Queer Eye for the Straight Guy” has formed a huge fanbase around the world since its start in 2018. The show focuses on giving worthy candidates lifestyle makeovers to boost their confidence and give them a better outlook on life. Back in August, everyone in the Philly area were enthusiastic to see and hear that Queer Eye would be filmed in the City of Brotherly Love for season five. Now, after months of anticipation, Netflix announced the release date for the newest season, coming June 5th!
The newest season of Queer Eye is not only great because it takes place in our beloved Philly, but its also special because its the longest season of the show yet with a whopping 10 episodes! All of the members of the Fab Five were living it up while filming in the city last summer, and Netflix even found a fun way to promote the season, tweeting in part, “Who’s ready for the season of brotherly love?!?!”
On top of the excitement, Netflix released a teaser for the season, which will already have you wanting to grab your tissues. Just in case you were wondering, I already needed a few!
With all that’s going on in the world right now, between the fear surrounding the coronavirus pandemic, to the loneliness of living life in quarantine, it’s fair to say we could all use a boost of happiness. Thankfully, the Fab Five and Queer Eye is coming to soothe our souls and brighten our day, one hero at a time.
