McDonald’s Offering Shamrock Shakes in Philly this Month
Yes, you read the title right. No, it is not March. It is not Saint Patrick’s Day. McDonald’s is offering Shamrock Shakes during the month of September in honor of the Philadelphia Eagles.
They are only available in the greater Philadelphia area, despite residents not being able to find them throughout the city.
Shamrock Shakes are The Eagles favorite shake, according to many advertisements seen around Philadelphia McDonald’s.
The shakes are being released as part of the “Stomp, Scream, and Shake” campaign that supports the football team. McDonald’s has partnered with the Eagles for six years now to celebrate the start of football season.
The shakes are only available in Philadelphia for two reasons. Frist, the shake was originally created in Philadelphia and dubbed the St. Patrick’s Day Milkshake. Second, Philly is also the birthplace of the Ronald McDonald House charity, which provides temporary housing for pediatric cancer patients and their families during treatment.
Fans will have until October 18th to enjoy the refreshing treat until March. So, hurry to your local McDonald’s, and if the ice cream machine is working, grab a Shamrock Shake.
