Louis Knight Releases Studio Version of ‘Maybe That’
It’s what the die-hard fans have been waiting for! Louis Knight, the American Idol alum finally released the studio version of his song, “Maybe That,” on Friday, March 19th.
“Maybe That” was the song he wanted to perform if he had made it to the finale of ‘American Idol,’ which would have definitely secured him a win.
“Maybe That” is about Knight getting his heart broken after not asking the girl to stay, but maybe that was his biggest mistake because a year later she’s fine and he’s still feeling the repercussions from it.
He released the video for it last May after the Idol finale and fans have been wanting him to release the song ever since. It is his most emotional and personal one yet. You can hear how much that song took for him to sing at the end of the video with his long sigh.
However, in the studio version, your heart gets broken even more. His falsetto will send chills down your spine. Get ready to cry in your car.
In an Instagram live on the eve of the song’s release, Knight played the viewers both the studio version and a piano version of the song. He told them that besides “Change,” this was the song he spent a lot of time on and meant a lot to him.
“Maybe That” is the follow-up to his latest hit, “London,” which has sparked a lot of love in the fandom. It is another break-up hit that talks about being away from each other to clear their heads. Merch for that song is out now.
Every time Knight releases a song, you think that will be your favorite and then he outdoes himself. Be sure to stream!
Hopefully by the end of the year, touring will be back up and fans can hear him perform these songs live.
