Holiday Tree Lighting Celebration at Philadelphia Museum of Art
Though we are halfway through November, Christmas festivities and plans are already in the works as people can’t control the anticipation for one of America’s favorite holidays. The city of Philadelphia has many events to help kickoff the holiday season, from the 6ABC Thanksgiving Day Parade to the Tree Lighting Celebration at the Philadelphia Museum of Art. During the holiday season, the colossal tree that stands tall outside the Philadelphia Museum of Art is a beautiful sight that never fails to get everyone in the Christmas spirit.
Plans for the holiday tree lighting were already underway at the beginning of the month and on November 4th, the tree arrived at the Art Museum. This year, the annual tree lighting celebration is on November 27th, the day before Thanksgiving from 5pm-7pm. The bright and colorful lights in contrast with the tree in front of the iconic Rocky Steps is bound to be beautiful and the perfect opportunity for a picture with your friends and family!
While at the tree lighting celebration, you can enjoy the music of Chelsea Reed and the Fair Weather Nine as well as the Sister Cities Girlchoir. In addition to the music, visitors are also welcome to the museum for free admission and delicious holiday treats. Don’t miss this fun event!
