Gay BINGO is Back in Philadelphia!
That’s right, Gay Bingo is back! The LGBT culture in Philadelphia is energetic and diverse, with a number of LGBT-friendly organizations and businesses located within the city. There’s the iconic “the Gayborhood”, which has beautiful rainbow signs and crosswalks along Locust and 13th streets, to Giovanni’s Room (now Philly’s AIDS Thrift), the oldest LGBTQ and feminist bookstore in the country. When it comes to a rich LGBTQ culture, Philly has you covered.
One popular LGBTQ event is coming back to the city and you don’t want to miss out on this! For over 20 years, Gay BINGO has brought people together for a night full of fun for a great cause. Warning, this is not your traditional BINGO, but much more fun and fabulous! This month, Gay BINGO is returning to Philly to raise money to help those with HIV. There are so many fun themes coming this year, from a Hocus Pocus themed BINGO for Halloween to Run Run Rudolph themed BINGO for Christmas time! On the official AIDS Fund Philly site, GayBINGO “promises to be an evening of unbridled fun, complete with ridiculous musical numbers, hilarious drag queen antics, chances to win fabulous prizes, and much, much more!”
Looking to catch some of the fun this year? Tickets for floor seats are $36 per person, with the special Black-Tie BINGO floor tickets being $175 per person. The run time for this fabulous event is approximately 2.5 hours with doors opening at 6PM. The new location for GayBINGO is at Congregation Rodeph Shalom, 615 North Broad Street, Philadelphia PA 19123. For upcoming details, be sure to follow the official GayBINGO Philly twitter page!
