Enjoy Family Fun for New Years Eve at Hershey
Everyone is familiar with the New Year’s Rockin’ Eve and the iconic ball drop in New York City to kick off the new year, but our very own Hershey, PA has a similar event featuring none other than the Hershey Kiss!
The event occurs in none other than downtown Hershey, incorporating the area’s iconic chocolate company into the evening celebrations. From 11am to 10pm, visitors can stop by the Hershey Story, the official Hershey Museum on Chocolate Avenue. The museum features informative exhibits and interactive experiences where you can learn just about everything involving our beloved Hershey’s chocolate. There are exhibits that highlight the life of founder Milton Hershey, the creation of the world-famous chocolate, the growth and popularity of the brand, and more. Tickets for museum admission are $13.50 per adult and $9.50 per child, definitely a worthwhile experience if you have the time throughout the day!
Later on in the evening from 7pm to 10pm, Hershey First United Methodist Church will be having family-friendly entertainment and refreshments like cookies and hot beverages! From 9pm to 10pm, the Mahoney Brothers present, “Jukebox Heroes Live”, a live show that features impersonations of iconic musicians throughout the last five decades, including tributes to the Beatles, Neil Diamond, and Billy Joel!
Once 11:59pm hits, a giant, 12 foot tall, 300 pound Hershey’s Kiss is raised three stories at the historic Hershey Press Building to kick off the new year. In fact, the giant Hershey’s Kiss raising celebration is so popular that it was featured live on CNN’s New Year’s Eve with Anderson Cooper and Kathy Griffin! Have a safe and Happy New Year!
