Eagles DT Malik Jackson Donates $100,000 to Philly Area Organization
The coronavirus has shaken up the sports world as we know it, and players from across the country have been doing their part to help those most affected by the pandemic. Our Eagles are no different, and have displayed over and over again their generosity and dedication to local issues during this difficult time. From Zach and Julie Ertz to Carson Wentz, Eagles players are showing up in big ways. Recently, DT Malik Jackson donated $100,000 to Fred’s Footsteps, a Philly-area organization!
Jackson played for the Jacksonville Jaguars from 2016-2018, before getting released and signing a three-year contract with Eagles. When he came to Philly, Jackson wanted to find a great organization that people respected to donate to and help out. Together with his publicist, they found Fred’s Footsteps, an organization that financially assists families in the Philadelphia region who are caring for sick, disabled or injured children. Fred’s Footsteps is one of the three local non-profits that are partners with the Eagles for the 2019/2020 season. When speaking to TMZ about his donation, Jackson humbly said, “We all have to kind of look at our inner goodness and just give back, especially when we can.”
Thank you so much, Malik Jackson and all of the other special Eagles players who have made donations during this difficult time! #PhillyStrong
