Celebrate Black History Month with Philly Murals Trolley Tour

February is officially Black History Month, and even though we are half way through the month, there are plenty of events throughout the city that showcase the rich black history and culture that is so deeply ingrained within Philadelphia. Among special events like museum exhibitions and musical performances, you can also enjoy a special tour of the iconic murals in the city with the trolley tour!
Mural Arts Philadelphia is hosting an African American Iconic Trolley Tour on February 23rd, which explores civil rights, freedom, and equality and highlights iconic African American figures throughout history. The tour lasts a total of 2 hours so there is plenty of time to soak in all the history and beauty these murals have to offer. Tickets for the tour are $32 for adults, and $28 for students and children under 12.
In Philly, Mural Arts has become a way for communities to come together and get inspired through artwork. Their vision? To have a world where people have a say in the future of their lives and communities, and where art and creative practice are respected as critical to sense of self and place. The program seeks to connect people through art and uplift individuals toward their greatest potential, making the mural tour even more significant.
Don’t miss this family-friendly event on the 23rd and get your tickets now!
