South Philly’s CVS Cat Needs a Home
If you’ve visited the CVS on 10th and Reed Streets in the East Passyunk area, you’ve probably seen an adorable orange and white cat hanging around. You will be greeted in the evenings by the feline, who’s been dubbed “CVS Cat,” as he stares through the glass doors and may even follow you inside the CVS.
He has brought such happiness to the customers who stop by and therefore deserves a loving home.
CVS Cat used to have owners, who lived right up the street, and would shop at the ACME Market across the way, then come home with them when they were done, but now has been showing up alone, apparently the couple had moved to New Jersey.
Many people feed the cat and enjoy seeing it around while they shop.
This sweet cat needs a new home and Liz DeMartino, a resident and frequent shopper of the CVS, has made it her mission to find him a home. A few residents have also helped, feeding the cat from daily. DeMartino has posted about the cat in South Philly Facebook Groups to find him a home.
She encourages people to email her at email@example.com. If you are interested in adopting him.
