Queer Eye’s Jonathan Van Ness Spotted ‘Flipping Out’ at Temple University
With Queer Eye filming season five in Philly, the Fab Five have been out and about enjoying the city in their free time. Recently, Fab Five member Jonathan Van Ness inadvertently gave Philly natives a little clue into his whereabouts on a series of Instagram posts and stories.
If you follow Queer Eye and specifically Jonathan, you know that he was the first male cheerleader at his high school and is very much into the sport of gymnastics. Strolling on his Instagram page, you wouldn’t be surprised to find Jonathan showing off his many skills and practicing gymnastics in his free time.
To the surprise of many Philly natives and Temple University students and alumni (myself included), Jonathan has been doing flips and spins, and having all sorts of gymnastic fun at none other than Temple University’s McGonigle Hall!
Temple University’s McGonigle Hall is home to many Temple sports teams, including Men’s and Women’s Basketball! McGonigle Hall’s women’s gymnastics gym opened in 2015 and has loads of equipment sporting Temple pride. The hall is located on 1800 North Broad Street, right on Temple University’s campus, which has me wondering, could a person from Temple, such as a faculty member or student, be a ‘hero’ of Queer Eye season five?
As you can imagine, Temple University got quite excited on social media about someone as well known as Jonathan giving the school exposure. The official Temple U Instagram page commented with a cherry emoji, the staring eyes emoji, and symbols representing the infamous Temple “T” on his post as well as posted on their official Twitter page.
Where in Philly will members of the Fab Five be spotted next?
